Stolen Jack-all

On Saturaday Sept 26 we were at Itaska Beach taking in our pier and hoists. We use a jack-all to lift the hoist to put on wheels on it ; a battery and winch to pull the hoist with wheels up a ramp onto our lot #92 Itaska Beach. We went out to visit friends at 6:30 PM Saturday and returned later when it was dark . Early Sunday morning we noticed someone came on the lot by the lakeside and took the jack-all off our property.
We had left the brand- new battery, winch,chains , jack-all, various cables on the lawn nearer the lake so we could continue the next morning. Lucky they only took the dark blue 3 foot jack-all which is quite heavy but left the rest of the hardware we were using.Since we left at about 6:30 pm there was only 2 hrs of sunlight left, and in that time they must have come by to steal. I notified Pigeon Lake Police and Thorsby RCMP in case there is a pattern of thefts at the lake. From now on we will lock everything up even though we might leave for an hour or so. This is the first ever theft we experienced since owning a cottage at Itaska since 1976. We put up poster describing the stolen item on the Itaska entrance bulletin board so all residents can take heed and lock their belongings up.
