Bylaw Enforcement

We have hired the Pigeon Lake Protective Services to enforce the bylaws in Itaska, while the RCMP are responsible for all criminal actions.

If you see anyone committing a crime, speeding, etc. please be sure to immediately call the police. If they get the call in the early stages, they can usually limit the escallation of issues. For speeding in Itaska you can contact the Peace Officers at (780) 361-6094.

Pigeon Lake Protective Services

Pigeon Lake Protective Services has been serving the Summer Villages surrounding Pigeon lake for over 30 years.

1. We conduct routine Protective patrols.
2. We provide education programs such as H.O.P (helmets on patrol) as well as safer homes workshops providing home owners with information to make their cabins safer.
3. We work close with the RCMP sharing information.
4. We also enforce the following acts.

• Animal protection act
• Dangerous goods act
• Environment protection and enhancement act
• Gaming and liquor act
• Prevention of youth tobacco act
• Stray animals act
• Tobacco reduction act
• Traffic safety act
• Municipal bylaws
